VSAT LICENCE OVERVIEW
An earth station license is required only if infrastructure is present in Portugal (i.e. a gateway earth station). If the satellite service is provided from outside Portugal, then the service provider must simply notify the licensing authority (ICP) before offering service.

NOTE
License fees for VSAT do not include any additional fee for satellite spectrum use. The fees are under revision, and may increase. As an indication, a fixed VSAT using 2 x 2 Mbit/s would pay a fee of 1271 Euro per year in fees.

SNGs: provisional VSAT licenses are available under Decree-Law No. 151-A/2000, July the 20th.
