Anja is passionate about engaging debate and critical thinking on the relationship between politics and technology, as well as how technology may support sustainable development along with climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Meet Anja

Anja works as a Policy Manager for the Middle East in our Digital Transformation pillar.

Anja is a political scientist specialising in the Middle East and techno-politics. She supports various campaigns in the MENA region and beyond, analysing and reporting on policy trends and regulatory roadblocks for disruptive technologies.

Prior to joining Access Partnership, she gained experience in humanitarian work and diplomacy, most notably her work for the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She has broad on-the-ground exposure to the Middle East, especially in the Gulf region.

Anja holds an MSc in Politics of the Middle East with Arabic from SOAS and two BA degrees in Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science from the University of Oslo. She is passionate about engaging debate and critical thinking on the relationship between politics and technology, as well as how technology may support sustainable development along with climate change mitigation and adaptation.
