Gökhan works on global digital policies and regulations, with a particular focus on market access, technological convergence, next generation connectivity, and data governance.
Prior to joining Access Partnership, Gökhan worked with the Turkish ICT Regulator, Information and Communication Technologies Authority for nine years. There, he specialised on internet governance and digital transformation issues. He acted as a representative of Turkey before various international organisations such as International Telecommunication Union and organised the 9th United Nations Internet Governance Forum at İstanbul. He also led 5G preparations of Turkey’s 5G and Beyond RoadMap and established the first 5G testbed in Turkey.
He holds an MSc in Governance of Media and Communications from London School of Economics and Political Science; an MA on Human Rights from Ankara University, and a BA degree on Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University in İstanbul. Gökhan works in English, French, and Turkish.
